Our classroom is in need of Baby Wipes, Paper Towels and Kleenex. Any contributions are appreciated.
AUCTION ITEM SNOW ANGEL PICTURE: Thank you to the parents that were able to take a picture of your child making a snow angel and shared it with me. If you did not get a chance to take the picture not to worry please take a picture of your child wearing their snow gear standing with a sled or holding a shovel as if they are going out to play.
Special things to remember for the week.:
Tuesday: Browsing the book fair.
Wednesday: Purchase at the book fair. 6th and 3rd Buddy Easter activities. Bring a container to carry dyed eggs home. Send a STURDY bag to hold school supplies on the hooks over spring break.
Thursday: Holy Thursday “Washing of the Feet” prayer service at 9:30. 2:00 DISMISSAL!!!!!!!!! NO AFTERCARE
Friday: NO SCHOOL. Have a great spring break!! If you are traveling, travel safely and bring back BEAUTIFUL weather please. Happy Easter.

Religion: This week the students will be learning about the meaning and traditions of Holy Week. Thursday the school will attend the first grade presentation of “Washing of the Feet.” Please join us at 9:30 in the Church it is a wonderful way to conclude the Lenten season.
Reading: The class will be reading Easter Themed informational passages. As they are reading, they will be answering questions and defining unfamiliar words from the passages.
Phonics: We have finished Unit 5 in our workbook. The students will be reviewing and taking a test centered on the concepts learned throughout the chapter.
Spelling: In class the students will be working with Easter related words. NO SPELLING TEST
Math: The students will be working with number and operation strategies to solve problems and memorize facts.
Science: The class will begin learning about April 8th’s Solar Eclipse and how to enjoy it.
Please send to school by Tuesday March 26th.
Small Container
Third and Sixth Graders will be getting together to do some Easter related activities. Every student will be dying eggs and the students need a container to safely bring their eggs home in. Each student will get three eggs so the container should be big enough to hold them.
Sturdy Bag
Over Spring Break our AWESOME maintenance staff will be cleaning the classrooms. Please send in an old backpack, reusable grocery bag or any other sturdy bag. These bags will hold your child’s books and other school supplies as they hang hooks. Please send these bags in by Wednesday. If you are leaving before Wednesday, please be sure to send the bag sooner.
Book Fair
Tuesday our class will be going to the bookfair to browse and make a wish list of books and prices that we are interested in. Wednesday we will return to the book fair to make purchases. Please review the wish list that your child brings home and send in money Wednesday. Please put the money in an envelope or zip lock baggie with your child’s name on it. If your child will not be at school Wednesday you are welcome to send money with them on Tuesday so they can make their purchases.
Homework:
We will be very busy this week doing Easter centered activities. There will NOT be: Spelling Test, Simple Solution Lessons, Math Homework. There will be: April Poems sent home and recited on April 22nd. April Prayer sent home and recited April 15th. Directions for April book report due on the April 25th.
