Welcome to the First-Grade Dual Language Program!
Every student will be learning grade-level standards or higher. We will continually strive to create a safe and engaging environment where learning in two languages is both exciting and rewarding. Students will have the opportunity to refine their motor skills and deepen their understanding of academic concepts in both Spanish and English. Additionally, each child will receive meaningful instruction while building self-confidence and faith-filled learning in a Catholic, values-based setting.

First Grade Rules
- Raise your hand: Wait for your turn before you speak.
- Listen closely: Pay attention when the teacher or a classmate is talking.
- Keep hands and feet to yourself: Respect personal space and stay safe.
- Follow directions: Listen and start tasks the first time they are given.
- Use kind words: Be a good friend and treat others with respect.
- Take care of our room: Clean up your space and put materials back in their place.
Daily Routines & Transitions
- Line up quietly: Face forward, keep your hands by your sides, and leave space between you and your neighbor.
- Walk safely: Use walking feet inside the classroom and out in the hallways.
- Be ready to learn: Sit with a straight back, quiet mouth, and your eyes on the speaker.
Teamwork & Center Time
- Share and take turns: Let everyone use the materials and wait patiently for your turn.
- Use an indoor voice: Keep your voice soft so other groups can still hear each other and work.
- Work together: Help your partners and make sure everyone feels included in the activity.
