Hello Third Grade Families,
The Third Graders have been buddies with the First Graders this year. We have sat with them at all school Functions like: PBIS Assemblies. We shared some fun holiday activities like creating spooky witches hats at Halloween, and making Valentine stain glass window hangings and many other fun things. As the year is coming to a close we will be getting together on Monday 22nd to share our favorite book and enjoy a sweet treat in the school courtyard. Each student will be asked to bring in $2.00 to help purchase donuts and juice boxes for the sweet treat. Look for a letter in your child’s homework folder and please send in the money as soon as you can.
Maxwell Jones was the PBIS winner this past Friday.
The theme for our THIRD GRADE FAMILY picture wall in May will be Mother’s Day. Pictures should include your child and their mom. Please send in pictures Monday May 8th.
The students brought home the May Book report directions and poster paper on May 8th. May Prayer “Hail Mary” will be recited on May 15th. Book Reports will be presented on May 22nd.

The first part is the Introductory Rites include the beginning parts of Mass. The second part is The Liturgy of the Word is the part of the Mass when we listen to and respond to God’s word. Followed by the Liturgy of the Eucharist where the bread and wine become the Body and Blood of Christ. Finally to Finish the Mass the Priest will lead the congregation through the Concluding Rites to remind us to continue praising and serving God each day.
Math: We will begin a new chapter about graphing and analyzing data. Students will learn to translate tally marks into both bar and pictographs. They will also learn to interpret date to find the difference and totals as they solve word problems centered around given information.
