We had a great week in JK! We welcomed fall this week with a fun leaf painting and lots of hand on apple books, projects and fun!
Some questions to ask your children:
- How do you make a apple pie?
- Where you able to balance the apple on your head?
- Can you sing the apple tree song?
Next week is more Apples and fall fun! Please bring in a Red, Green or yellow apple by Wednesday! We have lots of hands on delicious activities ahead of us!
Literacy: We will be learning the letter “N” and “C” in Jolly Phonics. The kids have learned the letter sounds and motions for s,a,t,i,p in Jolly Phonics thus far.
Science: Using our senses, we have been noticing all the Fall colors and leaves, and Squirrels hiding nuts for winter! We will keep watching.
Religion: This week in religion, we will be going to 8am Mass on Tuesday and learning about the Archangels and our Guardian angels.
Social Emotional: Learning how to treat others and be kind is a HUGE part of our Preschool program. We are really working hard on manners and also helping your children become more self sufficient. Please help reinforce this at home. Every morning in our classroom your children put their own snack, lunch and water bottle in a special spot in the room. We have a 3 tries rule with opening their snack. They are BEYOND proud when they do it themselves!
