What a great week in JK! Your kids brought their smiles for school pictures, and energy for a week of fun!
We made it through the couple of days of rain. It’s so nice having the Parish center for times when we can’t be outside!
A few questions to ask your children:
• Did you like getting your hand painted?
• Did the apple sink or float? What toy did you put in? Did it sink or float?
• Did you enjoy visiting with your 6th grade buddies ?
Literacy: In JK we only focus on the 26 letter sounds in the Jolly Phonics program. Blending sounds happens in Kindergarten. Next week we will be reviewing the letters we have learned so far. Ask your kids for the motions and letter sounds for “S, A, T, I, P, N, C, K”. Next week we will focus on letters “E” and “H”!
Religion: Gods ask us one thing and that is to love one another. We look at ways God shows His love for us each day. We see His love in sunrises and sunsets, fall leaves, birds and etc. Next week we will be talking about the Golden Rule, and continue to find the ways God shows His love for us!
Math: We will be making graphs , ABC patterns and number formations every day at calendar and in our centers.
Science: Apples, pumpkins leaves and all things fall.
