September 7–11
What a wonderful week we had! Here are some of the highlights from our week!
Letra Ee
This week, we finished learning the letter Ee!
During our morning circle, we continued practicing the letra Ee, its sound, and words that begin with Ee. We also continued practicing how to write our letters in the air and and on paper!
Practicing Our Names | Nuestros nombres
We also continued practicing writing our names this week.
Our students are working hard on recognizing the letters in their names and practicing how to write them independently. We will continue working on name writing throughout the year as we help our little ones build confidence and develop their writing skills.
Math | Matemáticas
In math this week, we focused on counting estrellas (stars)! Our students practiced counting carefully and connecting numbers to the quantities they see.
We also focused on our figura de la semana (shape of the week): the estrella! Students practiced recognizing and identifying the star shape while using our new math vocabulary in Spanish.
Heggerty
We continued our Heggerty lessons and are having so much fun playing with sounds, words, and rhymes!
This week’s special song was “La Lechuza” , and we absolutely LOVED it! Our students had so much fun singing along and practicing the song together.
Religion | Religión
We are still focusing on our “Ángel de la Guarda” prayer.
We continue to practice the prayer together and are working on becoming more comfortable saying it as a class. We are so proud of the effort our students are putting into learning this special prayer.
Pick-Up & Drop-Off | Llegada y salida
On Tuesday we will continue in the same drop off and pick up from fall fest on spring.
Looking Ahead | Próximamente
We are excited to continue building on everything we have been learning! We will continue practicing our names, letters, sounds, Heggerty songs, math skills, and classroom routines as we move forward.
Our little learners are working so hard, and we are so proud of the progress they are already making. ¡Estamos muy orgullosos de ustedes, amigos!
