Pre-K 3 Newsletter September 4

Happy Friday Families!

Here is what we did in Pre-K 3 this week!

Looking back…

*Our week was centered around Apples and the letter A!

*We learned our Letter A song and met Lizzie the letter lizard!

*We read so many fun books! One of our favorites was “10 Apples on Top” by Dr. Seuss, then we acted out the story with bean bags!

*We had our first story time with Mrs. Flood! She reads us a new story every week. This week, we got to pass around the main character, Snoopy!

*We met with our 7th grade buddies! We did a walk around the school and played with chalk. We do so many fun activities with our buddies throughout the year, including going to church with them!

*We practiced THREE safety drills this week! We practiced our Fire, Tornado & Bus Evacuation drills!

Starting Tuesday, September 8th- Friday, September 11

Early Childhood School Arrival, Tuesday 9/8-Friday 9/11:

Students using the car line or before care can enter the building as usual. Early childhood aides will be in the classrooms ready to welcome them and begin the day. When arriving with your oldest/only St. Cletus students in the morning, please drive south down Spring Avenue and pull up as far up as you can.  Park along the curb (west side), facing 55th street.  Students should exit their vehicles on the west, passenger side.  Early Childhood teachers and staff will be lined up along the sidewalk  on the west side of Spring Avenue to help students out of their cars and get them to their teachers. Please do not park on the east side and walk across, as this creates a safety risk for you and your student.

Early Childhood School Dismissal, Tuesday 9/8-Friday 9/11:

Students using the car line or aftercare will exit as usual. When picking up your oldest/only St. Cletus students in the afternoon, teachers will walk all oldest/only students to Spring Avenue and will line up along the sidewalk. Please drive up along Spring Avenue going south, park along the curb (west side), facing 55th street. Your child will be walked to your car. Please do not park on the east side and walk across, as this creates a safety risk for you and your student.

If you are stuck in traffic for a long time your child may end up in After Care and can be picked up by the entrance and exit doors – #14 on Stone Avenue. Safety of everyone is our top priority!

**Please pack snack SEPARATELY from your child’s lunchbox. We expect them to be able to get out their snack independently in the morning!

**Don’t forget to order books through our Scholastic Classroom! I will submit the order by Friday, September 11 at 3PM!
